In year 2000 I felt as though I was coming down with an awful flu. I felt so ill that I couldn't get out of bed for 2 weeks and my father told me I should go get a good checkup, so I did and found out that I had hep C. My PCR was at almost 1,000,000 back then. I did the Rebetron treatment for 6 months and my PCR did go down to 500,000. It was rough treatment though and I couldn't take it past 6 months because it was too much for me physically. It made me very ill and super weak while on it. I've been trying alternatives like taking vitamins and also making some very positive changes in my lifestyle. I began homeschooling my son and we moved to a place by the ocean where it is very peaceful and a nice atmosphere. Although my PCR had gone up to 1,500,000 in year 2004, I still feel much better and living in good surroundings and spending more time with my son has made a huge difference. Spiritually, I'm stronger than I've ever been and I believe that I may be healed completely from hep C some day. I can't stress enough though, how important it is to live somewhere that you really like that inspires you to live a good life that you enjoy. For me, it's spending more time with my son and also, it's being by the ocean and reading my Bible each day. I'm so glad that I took the chance on moving to a peaceful beach location when I did. All these things really do make a huge difference in my life. You feel happy whether you are healed or not! My advice to others is to follow 'your' dreams and take life one day at a time. ![]()
